2nd Line Support Engineer – London/Field based

Our client is a successful managed services provider with an impressive client base. This is a field-based IT support role, based near Euston Train Station with travel to other sites across the south as required – the successful candidate will be furnished with a first-class rail pass.
The right individual for their team will be technically capable and passionate about IT, as well as comfortable and confident in a customer facing role. You will be providing 2nd line deskside support to customers on a variety of devices, systems and technologies. There will be visits to sites such as Milton Keynes and Rugby to resolve technical issues and ensure end user satisfaction levels remain high.
Key Skills
•Excellent understanding of Microsoft Window 7 and 10 desktop operating systems
•Good understanding and experience of managing Microsoft Active Directory
•Good understanding of Microsoft server operating systems
•Good understanding of LAN technologies
•An understanding an appreciation of application and OS deployment mechanisms
•Working knowledge of VMware desktop virtualisation technologies
•Achieved, or be working towards, an MCSE or any VMware certification
•MCITP qualification in Windows 7/10 Desktop Administration
•Experience of Apple Mac OSX devices
•Server and/or desktop virtualisation experience
•Experience of creating high quality technical documentation and reports
