Software developer/Business Scripter – London
Exciting opportunity for a C#.Net Developer with experience of Python scripting

This is a really interesting role. The global software development team requires a UK presence to work closely with the London based team. All the development is collaborative, the business has dedicated video conferencing facilities to enable co-operation with international colleagues, and where appropriate there will be trips to spend time with the team in Europe. Here’s what your role will entail:
Work with the business teams to understand the business process and needs; design the technical concept and develop high quality software within agreed timescales
Support the SCRUM release planning and sprint planning process through analysis and estimation of development work
Work together with the business users to develop advanced algorithms that solves complex business problems
Develop and maintain small to enterprise scale applications in a range of technologies
Play an essential part of developing the software development team & processes
Participate in system development projects
Help develop best practices and run training courses on various software development topics for business scripters
You’ll be a highly capable software developer first and foremost, but you will also be required to call on your Business Analysis skills and also business scripting (Python). Here are the skills you’ll need:
6+ years of commercial experience as a software developer
Python scripting experience (essential)
Stakeholder management skills
Strong systems development background – experience in the Energy/Renewables/Utilities sector would be highly advantageous.
Able to work within a fast paced environment where there is a need to adapt to the business needs
Confident to bring ideas to the table in order to improve processes within the business.
Degree in computing, software engineering, or similar.
The business has a large development team but this person will be the sole UK developer initially. Going forward, there are plans to grow the UK team.
