About Blues Point
Blues Point is an IT recruitment agency based in Burton On Trent. We have been in operation for over 16 years and set ourselves apart by using comprehensive recruitment techniques to find only the best candidates for our clients.
Over the past decade and a half, we have worked with hundreds of clients in London and across the Midlands, placing candidates at all levels; from entry-level positions at local companies, all the way up to IT directors at international businesses.

Here at Blues Point, we champion the use of behavioural assessments during the recruitment process. These assessments are available to all of our clients, either as part of our service packages, or as an optional extra.
We believe behavioural assessments are critical for getting a deeper understanding of your candidate, beyond CVs, cover letters and even interviews.
Not only do they aid you in making the correct hiring decision, they're also a valuable tool once your new employee starts with you.
Behavioural assessments such as the Thomas PPA (DISC), Thomas GIA and Motivational Maps are a brilliant resource when it comes to onboarding and managing your employees.
IT roles often require a certain level of technical knowledge and ability. You should be able to get a good idea of what somebody can do by taking a look at their experience, but is that enough to go on?
We offer technical assessments such as IKM TeckChek assessments, which will give you a much clearer insight into what your candidates are actually capable of.
There are over 250 standard tests to choose from, as well as the option to create a bespoke assessment to match up perfectly with the role you're hiring for.
Video Recruitment Software
Through the use of cutting-edge video software, we are able to improve the recruitment process.
Hinterview, the software we use, allows us to do two things:
- Access passive candidates by sending a 'Hintro' - an example of which you will have seen at the top of this page.
- Interview candidates remotely on your behalf, and send you the recording afterwards. We can ask any questions that you want us to and you can review the recording at a time that's convenient for you.
