Motivational Maps - Psychometric Testing For IT Professionals and Teams
We believe that recruitment is just the beginning of the story. We love it when our clients keep hold of people that we’ve placed, and allow them to develop their careers. Healthy staff retention levels usually equal a successful, growing business.
Is your team a happy one?
Do you know which members of your team might be looking for work right now? Would it help you if you did?
We work with companies who want to engage, develop, and retain their staff. Because losing and replacing them is an expensive, stressful, and time-consuming experience.
How?
We provide individual ‘How to Manage’ reports for placed candidates, based on their behavioural assessments.
We use the Motivational Maps tool to measure how motivated a particular person (or team) is, and which areas of motivation need attention.
Why?
Recruiters don’t usually encourage their clients to keep hold of their staff. So why do we?
We do this because we prefer our clients to have stable, happy teams. If you manage your people well, word gets around. Your business is likely to become more successful as a result, and it will become easier to attract the best people to work for you. Which, in turn, helps us.
It’s a virtuous circle.
The Motivational Maps tool helps you identify who is happy and who is not – and you will then be able to formulate a plan for improving individual and team morale.
The end result of improving motivation and morale is lower staff turnover (and cost) and higher productivity (and profits). We’ve seen it happen and we know it works. This is why we do it for all our placed candidates after they have been in place for a few months.
What Are Motivational Maps?
If recruiting staff is important, then so is keeping them! Most companies do not have a proactive review system in place and are surprised when a key member of staff hands in their notice. Think how much difference it would make to your business if you knew exactly how motivated each of your team members was. That’s what the Motivational Maps tool can do.
We generally use Motivational Maps after the successful candidate has been in place for a few months, to see how they are really getting on. It’s also very useful as a management tool for your existing staff. We use it here at Blues Point a lot!
The Motivational Maps tool automatically analyses responses and generates clear and easy to understand reports that reveal each person’s key motivators, and their level of motivation. Each report provides actionable advice on how to increase motivation where it matters.
95% of Maps users said their Motivational Map accurately described their personal motivators, and 97% found the information in their personalised report useful.
In only about 15 minutes online the individual can complete the diagnostic and receive a full 15 page report on what motivates them and how motivated they are. The report is not only practical but also extremely revealing: most individuals have little idea about what truly motivates them.
The Motivational Map report contains at least 9 reward strategy ideas to help to motivate individuals further. This tool unlocks for them, and for others if they choose to share, the key to high performance. It is ideal for individual, career and leadership development.
The more motivation we have, the more energy; so this tool not only boosts our self-esteem but increases our capability to perform at a higher level.

Motivational Maps - Team
The Team Maps report aggregates individual reports to reveal the team’s motivational strengths and weaknesses. Team Maps enable leaders to be able to determine whether the energies of the team are harmonised with mission, whether there are internal conflicts that need addressing, and finally how to provide rewards that motivate the team: each report contains at least 11 actionable ideas. In short, they enable the team to perform at a higher level.
